Consignment Process
Consigning with The Renewal Edit
1. Refer to the approved list of brands and items sold by The Renewal Edit listed below. The Renewal Edit is intentionally focused on core premium wardrobe essential brands and clothing items to make consigning and selling simple and effective. Some brands and items not included on the list may be accepted, on request.
2. The commission fee payable to The Renewal Edit is 30% of the selling price across all items.
3. Via The Renewal Edit’s Instagram profile, direct message us with a list of items, brand and photographs for review. A photograph of the full front and full back of clothing items is required. Bags must also include a photo of the interior and hardware. All photos must be taken in natural lighting. If images aren’t supplied, item(s) cannot be approved for sale.
4. Items must be in very good - excellent condition with no damage, hard wear or alterations. However, as items are second hand, a small amount of wear is acceptable. If item have small marks or areas of wear etc, please detail in the description and provide a photograph specifically of this area.
5. Items will be reviewed and confirmation of items approved for sale will be provided within 5 business days. Upon approval, you will be requested to complete a Consignment Form.
6. Complete and submit Consignment Form ensuring you complete all sections for each approved item. Upon confirmation of receipt of the consignment form by The Renewal Edit, please send/drop your items. All items must be clearly labelled with your full name.

Sent via mail: please ensure they are appropriately packaged to protect the items and sent via registered mail. No responsibility is taken for any items that are lost or arrived in damaged condition. THE RENEWAL EDIT

Dropped off: by appointment only. Please advise if you plan to drop the items and a day/time can be organised. Drop off location is Glen Iris, Victoria.
8. Once items have been received, they will be photographed, priced and uploaded for sale. Whilst the selling period is 8 weeks, the total consignment period may be longer. This is because some items may be held for a short period of time and then included in an edit that aligns best. For example, a coat may be received and a coat edit is planned a week or two later. So the item will be held to coincide with this edit to give it the best chance of selling. The 8 week selling period therefore will commence once the items goes live. Please note: any items that arrive in a condition that does not match the photographs/description originally provided may not be accepted. In this instance, the items will be returned at consignors expense. The 8 week selling period is as follows:
Weeks 1-6: Item(s) will be competitively priced for sale and reflect their condition. This will drive sales and reduce the need to discount unsold items. All items will be uploaded to the website and selected items will be showcased in social media content and paid advertising to provide the edit and drive website visitation.
Weeks 7-8: any items not sold by the end of week 6 will be reduced by 20%. Commission payable on the reduced price.

9. At the conclusion of the 8-week selling period, unsold items:
Collect/return: items can be collected directly (date/time agreed prior) or returned via registered mail at the seller’s expense. The cost of the postage will be deducted from the total consignor earnings payable. If the postage costs exceed the payable consignor fee, then the balance must be paid prior to the items being returned. If the balance is not paid within 3 weeks, the items will be donated to charity.
Donation: on consignor request, unsold items can be donated to a charity of The Renewal Edit’s choice. This will include our chosen charity, Dressed For Success.
10. By signing and submitted a completed consignment form, you agree to the terms and conditions.

* Dresses - selected styles only - multi-purpose dressing i.e Scanlan crepe knit dresses, silk/satin, shirt dresses
* Accessories - cashmere/mohair scarves/gloves, silk scarves, leather/cashmere gloves, leather and suede belts, sunglasses (luxury brands accepted)
* Shoes - leather boots (ankle, mid and knee), loafers, mules, sling backs and kitten heel, trainers
